Food deserts and swamps, and a capitalistic approach to food production disproportionately affects those who are low-income, minorities, immigrants, and those living in rural areas.

In “Whole Fruit” the shadows illustrate the holes in the current system. Only by dismantling the profit-driven business model and honoring the basic human right to healthy food access and production will we begin to make things whole.
